Almost everything was Better in the 80s and 90s
it was ok, its alot more idolized and glorified then it was it was actually pretty bland and we were alot more disconnected. it was basically 80s but with internet and video games on CD and music on CDs and slow internet like 48kbps was the fastest, a 1tb meant you worked for a big corp and office jobs and culture were more common, suits, ties, professionalism, faxes and cell phones were a business thing. 50k got you a good house and fed your family and GPS was a thing only foudn in BMWS, arcades were more common as was hanging out in person and online MP barely existed cs go and unreal tournament, youtube was just a basic really bland video sharing site like HTML basic with alot more porn and fucked up shit. Paper View and OTA were still big things. and people had landlines, the fastest cars had 500 hp. things were like the 80s but different. hard to explain . apple was not really big and people used a three letter key and number combo phone. pagers were big and people hungout on the weekends.

Fun Facts: The song at 19:13 猫 シ Corp. - 東京 HAZE features the singer "Sandra" and the song Maria Magdalena. That song to me sounds a lot like the band Alphaville such as "Big in Japan". Sandra also sang in 1990's Enigma songs "Return to Innocence" and was married to Michael Cretu from Enigma too.
Maria Magdalena was a member of the Hapsburg family, and is interred in the imperial crypt in Vienna. I found her casket there - with carnations wilting at the foot - and, understandably, this song was in my head immediately. Wonder what the connection is.
I though was Madonna who singed it XD

Nice!! I still have a 9" Sony with built in DVD. Never thought about using it like this.
@@jons9239 I use a ps3. Very good multimedia capabilities while still supporting 4:3 screens. That's not the case for YT sadly, but you can just download vids and then either stream them or simply put them on an usb stick. Netflix (amazingly) still has 4:3 support which is great for the few old cartoons it has and finally, it can serve as a retro gaming console due to its selection of retro titles on the PS store + ability to play ps1 games.
Definitely recommend using/getting one if you have an old tv and want to put it to good use.
IT SADLY WASN'T UPLOADED IN 4:3. It looks zoomed out with borders on all sides on a crt :(
@@trollzilla If the video is uploaded in 4:3 on youtube, it'll show up correctly on a CRT, the problem is when people upload 4:3 videos with built-in black borders that make them technically 16:9. This is from my experience using Radeon TV-OUT
@@badnest13 ps3 can sometimes zoom in so the video fills the screen. And either way i've learned to use vegas a bit since my first post so i can always make it 4:3 myself =)

Это видео позволяет мне испытать атмосферу той самой Японии 80-ых, в которую я никогда не попаду. Аудио- и видеоряд в этом миксе прекрасны. Не смотря на то, что 80-ые никогда не вернутся, я всё равно очень надеюсь попасть я Японию и испытать это чувство, которое я даже не могу описать.

90s would have more guitar and R&B with a warmer, sunnier sound than the 80s. I lived through both, guys
it's funny how we think of the 80s as neon clothes and enormous hair. when i look at this footage of 80s japan, what sticks out to me is that the clothing is style is simple and refined- blocks of color. the city design itself contains the neons and flashing lights. - just random thoughts.
I think the neon clothes and crazy hair was more in the US and maybe in Europe too.

it's like a Japanese New York and Los Angeles put together! I picked up on the last four or five tracks, where I left off god knows how long ago. That is a masterpiece chillhouse conclusion.
This has a good vibe. It's something that I rarely get these days. Like it's similar to Emotional Tokyo's Tokyo Mix and Bootleg Boy's Raining series. At this point I've listened to three of the mixes and they're great keep it up and stay safe.
